What Building Inside Hamriyah Free Zone Actually Requires

Warehouse construction inside a free zone is not the same job as building on mainland Sharjah, and the difference is almost entirely procedural. Drawings go to the zone authority rather than the municipality. Fire systems need Sharjah Civil Defence sign-off. Environmental clearance runs through EPDA. Power comes through SEWA, and an unrestricted supply requires a Grade 1 approved electrical contractor to submit and execute the works.

Each of those is a gate, and a contractor who has not been through them recently will learn on your programme. Midas has been building inside Hamriyah since the zone’s early industrial expansion, delivering factories, lube oil blending plants, refineries, terminals and warehouses. That is why the approval route is a known sequence here rather than a discovery process.

Midas Building Contracting led delivery and the civil works. Midas Metal Industries fabricated and erected the structural steel. Midas Electromechanical Contracting, SEWA Grade 1 approved and Civil Defence approved, designed, installed and commissioned the electrical and mechanical systems, including power distribution, lighting and fire protection.
