Heavy Equipment Facility Construction: Built for the Loads

A facility for a heavy-lifting company is defined by what rolls across it. Crawler cranes, mobile cranes and abnormal-load transporters impose ground pressures that ordinary industrial pavements aren’t designed for — so on this 10,000 m² site, the yard, its circulation routes and its transitions were engineered around the client’s fleet rather than a generic specification. An 18.2 m × 47.7 m open shed (868 m²) provides covered working and storage space sized for equipment movements, and a 496 m² office block completes the base — with the majority of the site deliberately left as open, engineered yard. Midas Building Contracting delivered the civil works across the site.

Hamriyah Free Zone Phase 1 puts Al Faris’s equipment minutes from the zone’s fabrication yards and the deep-water port — the places heavy lifts actually happen — which is precisely why the group anchors operations there.

Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm by a Civil Defence Approved Contractor

An equipment base — fuel, machinery, an occupied office block — is a regulated fire-safety environment in Sharjah. The facility’s fire fighting and fire alarm systems, along with the full MEP scope, were designed, installed and commissioned by Midas Electromechanical Contracting, a Sharjah Civil Defence approved fire fighting contractor and the group’s SEWA Grade 1 approved electrical division — the approvals a Hamriyah facility must carry, delivered within the same contract as the construction itself.

Delivered in 2025, the facility is among the most recent additions to Midas’s Hamriyah portfolio — a zone where the group has built for clients from the Free Zone Authority itself to global manufacturers.
