Oilfield sector warehousing carries demands a generic shell doesn’t: heavy racking and equipment loads, handling clearances sized to the client’s kit, and the fire protection standards Sharjah Civil Defence enforces for the product classes stored. The plot itself tells the operational story — a long 54 m × 185 m site where the 1,700 m² of buildings leave the majority of the land as working yard for equipment movement and open storage. Those requirements were designed in from the start — Midas Building Contracting led construction of the warehouse and auxiliary buildings, with Midas Metal Industries fabricating the steel structures for both.

Midas Electromechanical Contracting designed, installed and commissioned the electrical and mechanical systems, integrating power, lighting and HVAC with the structure rather than retrofitting them — with energy efficiency specified into the systems a storage operation runs on around the clock.

Hamriyah’s dedicated oil & gas zone is where facilities like this cluster, and building in it has its own rulebook — HFZA-registered contractors, Civil Defence approved fire systems. We cover the operator’s view in why oil & gas companies choose Hamriyah Free Zone.
