What the Facility Is For

A scaffolding and logistics operation lives on throughput. Tubes, frames, boards and couplers come in by the truckload, are inspected, sorted, stacked and dispatched again — often the same week. The facility is designed around that cycle: an open shed warehouse for covered, clear-span storage that forklifts and trucks can work from any side; a G+1 office block for the planning, dispatch and administration that keeps the yard moving; and a service block for the staff and plant that support it.

Open Shed Warehouse Construction in Hamriyah Free Zone

An open shed is the most efficient covered structure an industrial plot can carry — a steel portal frame on reinforced concrete foundations, roofed and open-sided, so material can be handled from the apron straight into the racks without doors, docks or turning circles. What it demands is careful groundwork: foundations and ground-floor slabs designed for the point loads of stacked steel and forklift traffic, and a yard apron with proper falls and drainage so the plot works in every season.

The office block is built as a conventional G+1 reinforced concrete structure with blockwork, finishes and external works, and the service block completes the plot. Our industrial civil construction and steel fabrication and erection teams sequence the three buildings so the shed is available for the client’s operations as early as the programme allows.

Fire Safety and Authority Approvals

A warehouse in Hamriyah Free Zone is a regulated fire-safety environment. The Hamriyah Free Zone Authority issues the building permit, and Sharjah Civil Defence approves the fire drawings before construction and inspects the installed fire fighting and fire alarm systems before the completion certificate is issued. Across the group’s Hamriyah projects, those electrical and fire scopes are delivered by Midas Electromechanical Contracting LLC, a SEWA Grade 1 approved electrical contractor and Sharjah Civil Defence approved fire fighting contractor. Keeping the civil contractor, the fire contractor and the authority process inside one group is what removes the interface that most often delays a Hamriyah completion certificate.

Building in Hamriyah Free Zone Phase 1

Phase 1 is the original, fully established part of the zone, with mature road, power and water infrastructure already at the plot boundary — which keeps the enabling works short and the programme predictable. Midas has delivered more than twenty industrial projects as a contractor in Hamriyah Free Zone, and if you are setting up in the zone for the first time, our Hamriyah Free Zone factory setup guide covers permits, utilities and timelines.

One Contract, One Group

The client contracts with one Midas entity. Behind it, Midas Building Contracting delivers the civil and structural works, Midas Electromechanical Contracting is the group’s electrical, MEP and fire protection division, and Midas Metal Industries fabricates structural steel when a project calls for it. One programme, one site team, one point of accountability — the model behind every project we deliver as a turnkey EPC contractor in Sharjah.

Progress

October 2026 — Site mobilised and works commenced. Foundations and enabling works under way for the open shed warehouse, office block and service block.
